The EU Delegation and Oxfam Italia signed a contract to implement the Goražde Business Improvement Zone project, funded under the EU's Support to Local Economic Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina programme. Oxfam Italia's partners were the Municipality of Goražde, Bosnia-Podrinje Canton, the Bosnia-Podrinje Canton Chamber of Crafts, and Informest (an Italian development agency).
CEDES provided technical assistance aimed at: identifying all operational programmes and plans for SME development in Goražde and at the Federation of BiH level, and the actors responsible for them; analysing PPP legislation in Goražde and its potential for implementation; analysing and proposing new financial mechanisms for SMEs; proposing and running five workshops (with at least 20 stakeholders each, across all levels of government and stakeholder groups) to analyse the relevant programmes and plans; and submitting the resulting findings in an agreed format to support the partnership's future work.
