Between September 2011 and June 2012, CEDES provided technical support to local governments to improve the quality of municipal spatial plans and better connect and harmonise them with higher-level spatial plans and local development strategies. Training was delivered to municipalities across BiH and FBiH cantons, covering sustainable development, environmental protection, social inclusion, the green economy, urban transformation, urban mobility, smart cities, and spatial-development indicators.
The assignment produced and distributed tutorials and guidebooks as a result. The project was funded by GIZ (SLS project), worth EUR 22,000.
